"Blending nature and commerce is bringing this St. Johns County community closer to having an area in which people can walk to almost everything they want -- providing an alternative to urban sprawl that forces people to drive to meet their basic needs. The long-term goal is to encompass residential and commercial uses into a half-mile-wide town center area along Vilano Road between the Intracoastal Waterway and the ocean, said Georgia Katz, an employee in the St. Johns County planning department and program manager for the project."
