Porsche has announced its planning to develop a 57-story condo in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, complete with parking spaces inside every unit.
Condo owners drive onto a special lift, elevated to their unit, then the car is moved into their parking space in the sky (no driving happens once you're in the building). Each unit comes with 2-4 parking spaces, and the option for a glass wall so you can admire your car from your living room:
"The arrangement essentially gives residents an attached garage like one would find in a suburban home, with the view of a skyscraper." writes Jonathan Welch.
Anne Lutz Fernandez, author of the book Carjacked, commented on Twitter (@lutzfernandez):
"With reurbanization, do carmakers become developers to ensure car-based development?"
