The Long Island Index, a project to gather and present data about Long Island, has been studying the exodus of young people from their community. Now they're trying to do something about it with a new vision for the island.
www.buildabetterburb.org, a new website from the Long Island Index, presents ways of improving and updating the built environment.

"The project dispenses with all the statistics and reports and maps and goes straight for the suburban eye candy: beautiful photos of actual communities across the country who are redefining a modern suburb where actual 20-somethings might want to live."
