Friday Funny: Take the Kids to Napoleonland

A new theme park dedicated to all things Napoleon has been proposed for the area south of Paris by former French minister and history buff Yves Jégo, and is being touted as a rival to Disneyland, reports Henry Samuel.

Just imagine the joy in taking the kids to see, or even to take part in, daily re-enactments of the Battle of Waterloo.

"Other curious potential attractions include a ski run through a battlefield 'surrounded by the frozen bodies of soldiers and horses' and a recreation of Louis XVI being guillotined during the revolution – the precursor to Napoleon's rise to power.

"It's going to be fun for the family," Mr Jégo told the Times.
