Jose Perez, president and cofounderof Social Justice Committee, is calling for the county to createaffordable housing for those who provide the backbone for the valley's$427 million agriculture industry. Meanwhile, the state is calling forthe county to build 12,232 housing units by 2005 - a number that housingadvocacy groups say is far too low.
