Kiplinger has released its list of the ten best cities for singles and the results may surprise you.
Kiplinger has taken into account a number of factors including average income and living costs, as well as percentage of unmarried households, to develop its list of the top cities for singles.
Surprises include number ten - Iowa City - which boasts "boasts the highest share of singles on our list" owing to the presence of the University of Iowa, and also benefits from moderate living costs.
Another Surprise is number four - Baltimore - which features a low unemployment rate, a majority single population, and a low cost of living compared to neighboring cities.
Kiplinger's choice for the top city is Ann Arbor, Michigan, which gets the nod for its "unusual combination of ultra-high wages, reasonable living costs and a well-educated dating pool."
