Caltrain is working on an overhaul plan and construction schedule for a high-speed train service between San Jose and San Francisco.
"High-speed train service from San Jose to San Francisco is at least three years away. But Caltrain will decide this month when to shut down train service to overhaul its outdated system and lay new tracks for the so-called baby bullet. Carless commuters can't wait for the express train that will connect the two cities in 45 minutes, and they understand the need for intermittent shutdowns in service on nights and weekends during construction."
