While affordable housing may be scarce, there is no shortage of million dollar homes in metro Atlanta.
"It wasn't so long ago that owning a house worth a quarter million dollars seemed like a fantasy. Today, houses in that price category are considered affordable". With more than 575 houses priced $1 million and up on the local market -- real estate agents are highlighting the buyer's market that exists in the region. Home builders take comfort in the fact that Atlantans, especially those in the northern suburbs, are more likely than other Americans to be able to afford the expensive residences.
