Although reporter Robin Kawakami debunks the myth that everyone in his office must follow Richard Meier's fashion dogma, if you're expecting to see examples of the standard minimalist architect uniform, you won't be let down.

"The office's all-white, minimalist interior is reminiscent of some of the firm's best known designs, including the Getty Center in Los Angeles and the Jubilee Church in Rome. Architecture models, along with artwork by Mr. Meier's longtime friend Frank Stella, are among the space's few embellishments."

"Style among the office's 60 employees tends to favor clean lines and a neutral palette."
