The two huge holes in a ceiling that once accommodated brewing vats are reminders that the buildinga major part of Portland, Oregons largest private redevelopmentwas built for making beer, not for restaurant customers and office workers. The building is the former Blitz brewery, one of three historic buildings that are being preserved and integrated with new structures in a $250 million, five-block project with more than 1 million square feet of condominiums, retail and Class A office space, and 1,360 underground parking spaces.
