It's electric and has no brakes. Just think about going or stopping and you do. Dean Kamen has named his scooter "the Segway." It goes up to 12 mph and has a range of 15 miles from a 6 hour battery charge. It is anticipated that they will eventually sell for about $3,000. The inventor believes that the Segway will "make urban environments more livable by easing short-distance travel."
