The American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has just announced the winners of its 2012 Professional and Student Awards.
ASLA's awards recognize "the top public places, residential designs, campuses, parks and urban
planning projects from across the U.S. and around the world," in categories of General Design, Residential Design, Analysis and Planning, Communications, and Research. This year's 37 winners were selected from among 620 entries.
This year's Landmark Award, which "recognizes a distinguished landscape architecture project completed
between 15 and 50 years ago that retains its original design integrity
and contributes to the public realm of its community," went to the Village of Yorkville Park, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, by Ken Smith Landscape Architect and Schwartz Smith Meyer Landscape Architects, Inc.
