A building designed by celebrated architect Frank Lloyed Wright is deteriorating rapidly and preservationists are worried that it may not survive.
Many other Wright-designed homes throughout the country are owned by wealthy investors and foundations. The homes are meticulously maintained, so that the architect's designs still seem new more than 40 years after his death. But Spring Hill -- the only private dwelling in Florida designed by Wright -- shows every minute of its age, causing alarm among preservationists and Wright aficionados who fear that it, like the spring, will cease to exist.
