A $40 million plan aims to revitalize the historic neighborhood of Fairview in Camden, New Jersey.
"The plan calls for 320 new and renovated rental and for-sale housing units for people with a mix of incomes, as well as the hiring of a manager to coordinate efforts to bring back businesses to the central square, which will be cleaned and secured. The plan also includes the creation of a 3,000-square-foot community center and a recreational area as well as the introduction of programs for youngsters in the neighborhood, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974."
