Boca Raton, FL, known for its strict design codes, is working on an ordinance lays down the rules for the design of front porches.
"For almost two years, Development Chief Jorge Camejo and his staff have worked on an ordinance that would allow Boca Raton homeowners to build front porches that encroach into the 25-foot setback between city street and house front. The hope, according to Camejo, is to get people out of their homes and socializing with their neighbors."
