The Dirt reports on the 2013 landscape architecture graduate and undergraduate program rankings published recently by DesignIntelligence.
Congratulations are in order for Louisiana State University and Harvard University, who topped DesignIntelligence's list of the top undergraduate and graduate programs in landscape architecture. LSU came in first for the third consecutive year and Harvard was tops for the ninth time in a row. Virginia Tech came in second in both the graduate and undergraduate rankings.
Inclued in DesignIntelligence's report are the results of surveys of professional practice origanizations and the leaders of 57 landscape architecture academic programs. Among the interesting findings: "According to a whopping 88 percent of the professors surveyed, the design profession’s biggest concern is climate change / sustainability, while another 52 percent said urbanization."
Detailed rankings and survey results are available in the 13th edition of America’s Best Architecture & Design Schools, "which assesses program rankings and education trends in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and industrial design."
