As Fort Greene has gentrified in the last decade, residents there have demanded police do more to keep crime at bay. Meanwhile, across Myrtle Ave. in the Ingersoll Houses public housing project, residents say the NYPD's heavy-handed response has led to strained relations and laid the foundation for more problems.
