New York's Millionaire 'MetroCard Mayor' Bloomberg takes the subway. Now if only his commissioners would also.

The problem is that, except for his police bodyguards, the rest of the Bloomberg administration prefers its city-car privileges. This even after Bloomberg cut by 30 percent the number of cars assigned to his office. The fleet is down to 50 cars, said Jordan Barowitz, a spokesman for the mayor. Daniel Doctoroff is deputy mayor for finance and economic development. He lives on the Upper West Side."For me it is not practical" to take the subway, he said. "I'm at my desk everyday by about 6. The reason I come in early is because I'm in a hurry and saving the 25 minutes or so, to me, is critical."
