Metropolis magazine has gathered some of the world's most influential critics and thinkers to propose the most important buildings, products, and events from the past year in architecture and design.
From a blazing building to a new furniture line that may actually be a practical joke, the 20 global critics and thinkers that were asked to contribute to Metropolis' "Year in Review" have submitted an eclectic mix of "intriguing responses [that] illuminate some of the ideas now driving architecture and design".
