"Despite its size, Centergate King Farm has a pedestrian friendliness about it, and a small-town look...Town planner Torti Gallas and Partners-CHK won a national design award in 2000 from the Congress for the New Urbanism for its King Farm design...King Farm is convenient to mass transit, is zoned for "mixed use" (residential, retail and office space), contains a variety of housing (owner-occupied single-family attached and detached, as well as rental units) and is designed around public spaces including squares and parks..."
