Roundabouts Heading For The NC Triangle

Local governments together with the North Carolina DOT are planning to replace ugly or unsafe intersections throughout North Carolina with roundabouts.

Roundabouts, the smaller, slower, safer versions of traditional traffic circles, have been utilized in Europe and Australian for decades, and now are finding their way to the United States. "Modern roundabouts are easier to navigate than traditional traffic circles, traffic experts say, making them safer for motorists and pedestrians." However, some motorist's are not embracing the new traffic measures.
