More than 80 communities adopted complete streets policies in 2013, bringing the national total to 610 jurisdictions with such policies. The National Complete Streets Coalition examined the newest programs for the best examples.
Smart Growth America recently announced the results of the National Complete Streets Coalition program's ranking of 2013 complete streets programs. To develop the rankings, the National Complete Streets Coalition compared new policy language to ten ideal policy elements (e.g., "all users and modes," "design," and "performance measures").
The top adopted complete streets policies of 2013, according to the National Complete Streets Coalition rankings:
