Santa Fe's land use policies and poor record of spreading affordable housing throughout the city might be a violation of the federal Fair Housing Act, a nonprofit group says. The arqument is based in part on census data showing Hispanic families are leaving the city's north and east sides and settling increasingly in the west and south sides of town, Census figures show Hispanic families typically earn less than non-Hispanic households. The Report refers to similar cases around the country where the municipality was actually sued under the Act.
