Water managers are pushing plans for expensive new water sources such as desalted seawater or treated river water. At the same time, pure groundwater is dwindling. Shortage threatens everything from Florida's delicate water-dependent environment to the state's economy." The article focuses on areas where water is currently wasted, and waste reduction efforts.
