In an effort to bring the NFL to Los Angeles, a group has proposed a downtown stadium adjacent to the Staples Center.

Tim Leiweke, president of Anschutz Entertainment Group "plans to build a downtown stadium adjacent to Staples Center ." He said that the stadium site would be in South Park and would require less than 55 acres.
