"MARTA will solicit a 'request for expressions of interest' later this summer to lease the air rights over intown train stations," according to an article by Doug Sams and Maria Saporta.

"Although MARTA would not specifically identify them, the stations are thought to include North Avenue, Midtown, Arts Center and Lenox."

The article describes the sale of the air rights as an example of MARTA's evolving mission and desire to densify development near stations, which have coincided with the economic recovery and the influence of CEO Keith Parker.
