Kriston Capps shares the creative work of a couple of arm-chair architecture critics who took to Photoshop to express their opinions about the Snøhetta-designed tower proposed for One Van Ness in San Francisco.
The critical feature of the public ridicule, wedge-shaped cuts in the building's façade, is here described by San Francisco Chronicle Architecture Critic John King: "The 37-story high-rise would be clad in masonry and glass, with three wedge-shaped cuts in the facade that could lessen windy downdrafts while creating lounges for residents of the 308 proposed units."
A journalist and illustrator Susie Cagle (@Susie_c) responded in satirical fashion, calling special attention to the All Star Donuts that the development would replace.
Photographer Brian Brophy (@thetens) adds his take, with a little more booze involved. Click through to their Titter feeds or to the CityLab article to see their work.
