"[I]nevitably the conversation did turn to what Washington,,,would be like in 2054, for that's where the movie is set...Is the former District of Columbia underwater due to climate change? Does the metropolis continue to spread from the Shenandoah Valley to the Atlantic, or has it contracted to a dense core?...the chase scenes required hyper-futuristic high-rise buildings...That's because if there are no high-rises, then there is no need for roller-coaster-like gee-whiz magnetic levitation transportation guideways. Without the maglev, there's no stomach-churning chase scene..."
