The Margaret McDermott Bridge, as the new Caltrava design is called, is part of an $800 million project to rebuild the intersection of I-35E and I-30 in downtown Dallas. The project, code named the Horseshoe, will take four years to complete.
"Workers currently are assembling the twin white arches of the Margaret McDermott Bridge, which will reach nearly 350 feet above the water when complete and support spans for bikes and pedestrians outside the vehicle lanes," according to Jacobson.
