Grayslake Village won't change plans to build a Metra station a mile north of downtown but businesses fight to change the site.

Grayslake Village Board says it is too l"te to alter its plans to build a new Metra station a mile north of downtown, business owners in the downtown area plan to continue fighting to keep the station downtown.""We are pretty committed to this," Connie Cominsky, owner of Village Vision downtown, said Wednesday. Cominsky helped gather 1,000 signatures on a petition calling for the commuter train station to be built downtown. "We're not giving up," she said." ... but either is the village board.
