The AP reports that Toyota has invested $50 million on research into driverless car technology. The money will research at with Stanford University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The reports includes more details about the research team, as well as mentioning a target date of 2020 for the delivery of self driving cars technology. It already expects to have collision prevention technology on cars by 2017.
