Pittsburgh Neighborhood Ready for Traffic Safety Solutions

"Traffic through Oakland has been at the forefront since last month after a bicyclist was killed in a chain-reaction crash on Forbes Avenue and a Wilkinsburg couple died after getting off a bus near Petersen Events Center. Bike Pittsburgh and others have called on the city, state and the University of Pittsburgh to make safety changes, including better enforcement, but the city said it wants to wait until it finishes two studies — one on a proposed Bus Rapid Transit link between Uptown and Oakland and the other a National Complete Streets Coalition look at improvements."
