Concert-goers descended on Detroit streets this weekend to take in more than the shows.
"They came for the shows, but they lingered downtown before and after, getting acquainted with a downtown that has more to offer than sports stadiums and casinos. But the real show was on the streets outside the concert venues, where the rock and opera crowds mixed amiably in the hours before and after the show. Mark and Terri Finch of Rochester Hills, treating 10-year-old daughter Jessica to her first Rolling Stones concert, marveled at the crowds. Restaurants in Greektown had 90-minute waits."
