The victories keep piling up for the advocates, bureaucrats, and politicians fighting for more and better bike infrastructure.

People for Bikes has released its third annual list of 10 Best New Bike Lanes, and it displays how far bike infrastructure investment has come in the United States. As Michael Andersen explains in a post announcing the list, the gold standard of bike lane construction has shifted in recent years: "this month, as we set about making our third annual list of the country's best new bike lanes, we were overjoyed to realize that (with about 80 projects to choose from) almost every new lane on our list separated bike and auto traffic with some sort of permanent physical curb."
The post also takes a look at each of the projects that made the best of list. Leading the list is Western Avenue, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, followed by 200 West in Salt Lake City, Utah. The third place finish for Queens Boulevard in New York City even attracted the attention of Jeanmaire Evelly, who reported for DNAinfo about the street's transformation from "Boulevard of Death."
