Citing the critical economic need for road construction and transit improvements, Gov. Bruce Rauner will conduct a general obligation bond sale later this month.
"Gov. Bruce Rauner's administration plans to borrow $480 million this month to pay for construction projects," reports Monique Garcia.
Gov. Rauner is planning the general obligation bond sale for January 14, and the money will fund road and transit projects, according to Garcia.
The bond sale comes during a budget impasse stretching back to July 1.
