State officials are preparing to ask the developers of North Point in Cambridge, across from the Musuem of Science, to turn the McGrath Highway into an ''urban boulevard'' with better sidewalks and trees. The idea is to make the journey a pleasant experience again, harkening back to a time of leisurely Sunday drives."
