Markus Pukonen is circumnavigating the globe without ever using a motor (i.e., no planes, cars, or motorboats) on a journey that is expected to take more than five years. Instead, Markus is walking, rowing, swimming, kayaking, standup paddleboarding, sailing, running, biking, skiing, skateboarding, velomobiling, walking backwards, pogosticking, and traveling by any other creative means to draw connections among people committed to positive change.
Each leg of the route partners with a local social or environmental organization to build the movement toward a wiser earth through communication and education. Markus is not planning on breaking any records, but he will likely create new ones.
