Seattle's housing prices have ballooned on a level comparable to San Francisco, according to an article in the Wall Street Journal.
WSJ reporter Anya Martin writes:
In the metro Seattle area, home-sale prices rose 9.5% from 2014 to 2015, putting the median home value at $385,300, according to the National Association of Realtors. That’s below the limit for government-backed loans for the area, which currently is $540,500. But Seattle buyers who want a dream home in a desirable neighborhood will probabl0y [sic] need a jumbo mortgage.
