The nation's first driverless train car was unveiled this week in Hawaii.

"The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation unveiled the city's first train car," reports Kathleen Gallagher. The public appearance followed the arrival of the trains to the island in March and additional work on exterior and interior finishes.
The trains are destined for the history books, "the first driverless train for a transit system in the nation." As if that weren't more than enough, the new trains are "equipped with storage areas for bikes, surfboards and luggage."
