Seattle's Monorail Route Will Follow 'Yes' Precincts

"Voting patterns suggest that the purveyors of a new Seattle monorail will be greeted as friends rather than conquerors next year as they seek public consent to place rows of columns along the western half of the city. Future neighbors are largely in favor, according to an analysis of election returns by the Seattle Times.The voting patterns may help the project overcome what may be its toughest obstacle — the propensity of neighborhoods in Seattle to subject virtually any land-use change to public hearings and lawsuits over blocked views."
