A new kind of transportation network company is offering peace of mind for female travelers.
"A company in Orange Tuesday announced it is launching a new ride-hailing service that is operated by women and caters to women," according to a CBS Los Angeles report.
The company, See Jane Go, only allows women drivers, and only offers rides to women, according to the article. Children can ride along, as can men…if riding with a woman who vouches for them.
See Jane Go is preparing to launch service in Orange County this summer, and hopes to eventually expand to other cities. The CBS Los Angeles report notes that the company already has a predecessor based in the Boston area, called SafeHer.
