A logistics park in Fenton, expected to attract $382 million in investment, will move forward with $50 million in tax increment financing.
"A redevelopment of the old Chrysler assembly plant site advanced a step Wednesday after the St. Louis County Tax Increment Financing Commission recommended that the St. Louis County Council approve more than $50 million in incentives for the project," reports Jacob Barker.
The vote allows "Clayton-based KP Development to turn the site just off of Interstate 44 into the Fenton Logistics Park." The proposal calls for nearly 2 million square feet for office, industrial, and warehouse uses, in addition to two hotels, restaurants, and retail.
The plant has been closed since it ceased manufacturing of the Dodge Ram pickup truck in 2009.
