Denver is experiencing a housing glut, with downtown lofts, condos, and apartments all coming on the market at the same time.
"Driving around downtown Denver and its surrounding neighborhoods,observers might be lulled into thinking that the economy is booming. Inthe worst economic downturn in 15 years, developers are feverishlybuilding new luxury apartments, condos and lofts at an unprecedentedrate... 'It's like going from zero to 60 miles per hour in five seconds,' said Mark Smith, principal of East West Partners, which is developing the $1 billion Riverfront neighborhood in the Central Platte Valley."
