Co-Working Spaces Find a Place in Houston's Suburban Reaches

A Houston Chronicle journalist travels a surmising distance from downtown to survey the city's co-working spaces.

Nancy Sarnoff reports on the increasing popularity of co-working spaces in Houston—but there's a catch. Instead of the typical co-working space found in urban cores around the United States, Houston's "newest co-working spots are cropping up far from the urban core."

According to Sarnoff, examples of suburban co-working spaces join previous examples of co-working spaces in downtown, so this isn't just a suburban tale. In either setting, according to some of the co-working entrepreneurs quoted in the article, Houston shows a strong culture of support for start-ups.
