Piet Oudolf, a highly regarded landscape architect has been asked by the Battery Park Conservancy to create a new landscape plan for the tip of Manhattan. His initial plans include better public assembly areas, a "Garden of Remembrance" for the WTC, and rewnewed interaction between the Battery and New York Harbor.
