Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.), who represents an area covering about 300 miles of the border between Arizona and Mexico, would force the Trump Administration to complete an environmental review before completing its promised border wall project.

"Citing environmental concerns, an Arizona congressman filed a lawsuit Wednesday to block President Donald Trump’s proposed border wall," reports Andrea Rodés.
Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) and the Center for Biological Diversity filed the suit under the auspices of the National Environmental Policy Act, calling "for an in-depth investigation into the wall’s potential impact on the environment."
"Such a review would probably take several years to complete, delaying indefinitely the fulfillment of one of Trump’s signature campaign promises," according to Rodés.
Earlier this week, Planetizen shared a feature by Vox detailing the many potential negative ecological outcomes a border wall could have on huge swaths of land on either side of the border.
