An art instillation of colorful LED lights hanging under the L on Wabash looks to grow.
For 14 months, there have been four lights hanging under the elevated train tracks in Chicago's Loop. This installation, however, has just been a beta test for creators Jack Newell and Seth Unger. "While the team says that they still would like to ultimately see the finished project span four, or possibly even eight blocks, the length and scope of the installation is contingent on funds raised," AJ LaTrace reports for Curbed.
Newell and Unger say they have conquered the technical challenges of the vibrating tracks from heavy trains and rough weather. To extend the project the mile-long distance the artists are aiming for, they now need funds, which they hope to raise from supporters online.
