"The 10-mile, $2.3 billion Bay Area Rapid Transit Silicon Valley Berryessa Extension project is on track to be completed by December, according to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority," Aliyah Mohammed reports in the East Bay Times. The Milpitas Station, located in North San Jose, is 96% completed and should be the site of test runs soon, according to VTA official Stacey Ross. "The station is expected to be open and running by late December, six months ahead of the original schedule," Mohammed writes.

VTA will hand off operation of the station to BART when construction and testing is complete.
