In Delmar Circle, a long-closed Church's Chicken and its parking lot may be the site of a 20-story Ferris Wheel.

A 120-foot-tall Ferris Wheel has been proposed at the site of a closed fast food restaurant in St. Louis' Delmar neighborhood. The site is not zoned for this type of attraction, and the ride would need to be granted a variance to be built.
"The wheel includes 20 fully-enclosed climate-controlled gondolas with capacity of six each. One ride would consist of four trips around, and your group wouldn’t be expected to ride with others," Richard Bose writes in Next STL. Proponents say the project could be add walkability and another attraction to the neighborhood, others have complained that a ride would bring too many people to the neighborhood and would be disruptive to traffic and parking.
