Emilie Rusch reports on the ground breaking of a controversial new development near Denver's Sloan Lake. "Construction is officially underway on the glass-walled luxury condominium tower across the street from Sloan’s Lake that faced an early legal challenge from neighbors over its 12-story height," writes Rusch.

The 206-unit Lakehouse project is schedule for completion in 2019. "The project is seeking WELL certification, a third-party building standard focused on resident health and wellness through 'air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind,'" adds Rusch.

The project is one of the redevelopment projects on the former site of the St. Anthony Hospital campus. Rusch reported on the redevelopment plans in April 2016.
